I’m a little late to the party, but I finally put some of my favorites from last autumn’s Sand & Sage AKC hunt test to video. I photographed this event near Othello, WA over a beautiful autumn weekend. I am really looking forward to the next hunt test coming up in April of 2018.

If you are an owner or handler from this event looking for prints or digital downloads, visit the photo gallery here.

Here are dogs that competed in the Junior division.

And here are some favorites from the Masters division.

And last, but not least, enjoy the senior division here.

Autumn Garden -Master Gardener’s Demonstration Garden

October in Tri-Cities ended with golden sunshine and bold color. I took an autumn garden photo walk through the Master Gardener’s demonstration garden on the last day of the month. There were still many beautiful blossoms spreading their joy. Others had faded to autumn, but they revealed tiny seeds and buds promising their return with spring.

Enjoy the photos, and better yet, visit the garden in Kennewick, WA where you will see cheerful flowers, colorful leaves, bright berries, ornamental grasses and even an occasional flying insect. It’s located behind the Mid-Columbia Library. But hurry, because winter is marching closer by the day.

Thirst No More – The Gift Of Living Water

Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who wishes take the water of life as a gift.

Revelations 22

I created this video by adding animation to still photos plus several of my favorite bible scriptures from John 4 and Revelations 22 about living water. Enjoy His gift…

Oh Deer

White-Tailed Deer In A Montana Cherry Orchard

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could go no further than just a few steps outside your front door to see beautiful creatures such as these white-tailed deer? Well maybe not, if you’re a gardener. As a photographer though, I was happy to see these young bucks and does deer roaming nearby on a beautiful autumn day in Montana, just off the shore of Flathead Lake where I was visiting family.

The Bench Man

Time you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted time.

The Bench Man

The Bench Man

I saw this nice gentleman, the other day from across the park. I was there walking with my dogs at Howard Amon Park in Richland, Washington. He’s sitting under sycamore trees along the bank of the Columbia river. There is an empty bench very near, almost as if an open invitation to join him.

Just witnessing him there, enjoying his morning in solitude and complete tranquility, led me to the conclusion that I would benefit from spending more time on a park bench.

Sweet Dream Piglets

Barnyard nap

The theme of the Benton-Franklin fair this year is “Best Week Of Summer”. It looked to me that these cute piglets at Old MacDonald’s barn were having THEIR best week of summer while napping together. That all ended in a hurry though as soon as their mamma strolled by, bursting with milk. For the next few moments, it was pandemonium and survival of the fittest. Note the three barely visible piglets at the bottom of the pile. I’m not sure how they manage to avoid suffocation in that position, but it didn’t seem to phase them one bit.

Normal Day

Feathers in the wind
Feathers in the wind

“Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.

Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart.

Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow.

Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so.

One day I shall dig my nails into the earth,

or bury my face in the pillow,

or stretch myself taut,

or raise my hands to the sky and want,

more than all the world,

your return.”

Let The Heavens Declare!

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
~Psalms 19:1

When the world feels upside down, I like to look up. The sky is an ever changing canvas, from night to day, from season to season. A multi-colored canvas painted with dramatic compositions and vistas as a constant reminder of the glory of God, the creator.
